This 6,400 SF library/media center was added on to an existing 870 SF former bank building. The facility offers full handicapped accessibility and is equipped with the most current computer technology. The Library contains a Children's room, Young Adult Area, Reference Area, Stacks, Reading Area, Staff Workroom and Lounge, and utilized the old building for Meeting and Conference rooms. Our firm was a major participant in the grant writing. The Architect designed all the interiors. The Association of Connecticut Library Boards announced in April of 1997 that the Killingworth Library was named the recipient of the "Award of Excellence for Small Libraries".
